Stair towers and site stairs
Safe access for your construction site in Jülich
Anton Muckel Gerüstbau plans, erects and rents stair towers, site stairs and escape stairs. Our yard is in Linnich, right next door in the Düren district.

- Escape stairs
- Modular scaffolding

Why stairs
Access is not an accessory, it is where the work begins
Everything that has to go up on a site goes up the same way: people, tools, material, and in an emergency the way back down. A stair tower makes that route predictable.
-
01
Both hands free
A ladder is something you climb. Stairs are something you walk. Anyone carrying tools or material reaches every level without ever changing grip.
-
02
The way back counts too
Escape stairs are part of what we build. They are planned together with the structure and stand where they are needed in an emergency, not where space happened to be left.
-
03
Order in the schedule
Fixed access sorts a site out. Trades use the same route, material travels the same track, and nobody spends the morning looking for the ladder.
Services
Stairs and towers built from modular scaffolding
A stair tower is built from the same system as the scaffold beside it. It can stand free or form part of the facade scaffold, and it follows the building rather than the other way round.
-
Stair tower systems
Access for shell construction, refurbishment and industry. Free standing or tied to the scaffold, with a landing at every level.
-
Escape stairs
The second way down. We plan it with the rest of the structure instead of adding it afterwards.
-
Modular scaffolding
The system behind the tower. It adapts to setbacks and projections, to curved elements and to tight corners.
-
Heavy duty scaffolding
When loads go beyond the everyday, different components carry them. Those are part of our range as well.
-
Temporary roofing
The weather stays outside and the work carries on underneath. It combines with the scaffold and the access.
-
Equipment hire
Hoists with and without passenger transport, telehandlers with attachments, and trucks with a loader crane and container body.

Describe your projectHow it works
From the first call to the last component
Four steps, and you know where you stand at each of them.
-
Enquiry
You tell us the height, the access and the period. A phone call is enough, and so is the form on this page.
-
Site survey
We look at the location: the ground, the tie points on the building, traffic routes and the levels that have to be reached.
-
Erection
The tower is erected, tied in and handed over to you. You know afterwards what stands there and how it is used.
-
On site and dismantling
While the structure stands we stay reachable. At the end we dismantle it and clear the area.
Landing
Where a stair tower earns its place
Shell construction, refurbishment, industrial plant, event structures: as soon as more than one level is worked on, access decides both pace and safety.
-
Stair flights on the facade Access and scaffold as one unit on a residential building. -
Access across many levels The higher the work goes, the more a fixed route upward matters. -
The tower as its own structure Access can stand free beside a building and tie in at only a few points. -
The way back down Wherever people work, the route out has to stay walkable at all times. -
Access to existing buildings In conversion and refurbishment the stairs often run along the outside of the building.

Place, the height you need, the tie in and the period are enough to start. Everything else is settled at the survey.

What gets settled before the first step
Yes. Escape stairs are on our list of services and are planned together with the rest of the structure, so the way out is considered from the start.
Yes. The structure is erected for the duration of the site and dismantled afterwards. What that means for your project we tell you after the survey.
The site decides: the ground, the tie points on the building and the levels that have to be reached. That is why we fix the height at the survey rather than in advance.
Yes. Linnich and Jülich are neighbours in the Düren district. A shorter run to a Jülich site is hard to arrange.
The location, the height you want, the tie in to scaffold or building and the period. Photographs of the spot help a great deal.
Yes. Alongside scaffolding and temporary roofing we hire out hoists with and without passenger transport, telehandlers with attachments, and trucks with a loader crane and container body.
